Suzie was fed up with the holidays. She knows that she “should” be excited and thrilled that they are here. But truthfully she couldn’t wait for them to be over. She knew at the end of the holidays she will be feeling tired , bloated, frustrated and just plain wore out from keeping up with the intense schedule, eating rich foods and not getting any sleep. She wants to get motivated for the new year so she can lose weight, but to be honest, she doesn’t have the energy for that either. She is at a loss and feels defeated.
All of these things led Suzie to feeling hopeless. That she will never feel the way she wants to feel: happy, joyful, inspired, energized, and ready for anything life brings her way.
Do you feel that way? Do you feel that you are ready for anything life brings your way?
Do you have energy? Confidence? Know-how? Inspiration? Direction?
The Holidays are a beautiful time of year filled with love, joy, peace & grace. But at the end of the year, when it is time to start a new one, we don’t feel this way. We are wore out and defeated because of the weight that has collected over the last 8 weeks or more.
I am here to tell you…this is not in your future anymore.
When you are able to shift your perspective around the holiday foods, you are able to adopt a new way of eating during the holidays. Most importantly, you’ll be eating what feels healthful. You should be eating what leaves you feeling vibrant, alive, joyful, and well. And still have those wonderful holiday treats and celebrations to enjoy. It’s about finding that balance, the middle ground; taking on the understanding that you are perfect just as you are.
Several studies have shown that depression and stress increase during the holidays.
In addition, the individuals that decide to go on a diet for the new year, to help their stress and lose weight, will be unlikely to achieve those goals. Only about 20% of individuals that make weight loss goals or New Year’s resolutions are shown to follow through with those goals.
This doesn’t have to happen. All it takes is a shift in your perspective- from punishment to nourishment.
Leap into the Holidays with Confidence… living in a way that brings peace to those around you.
This year I challenge you, no, I beseech you, to walk through the holidays differently.
Decide now the NEW feelings that you want to attain by close of the year; the core desires that live in your heart, but you have been too stressed or too defeated to put forth any energy to seeking them. Then, invite in activities, experiences, foods that will bring about these core feelings, these core desires.
If you walk through the holidays the same way as you did last year, you are going to wind up right back where you are now.
It is going to take action and shift in your perspective. You can do this. You can make this shift using the E.N.D. Zone method for keeping the holiday weight OFF.
You will have to do things differently to get the results you are looking for. To do the same thing and expect different results is insanity, right?!
If this is something you want so badly, then why not make that shift, make that conscious choice, conscious decision, and conscious step forward and walk through the steps of the E.N.D. Zone.
